About Twelve
Twelve exists to make football intelligence understandable, actionable, and personal. Our platform, Earpiece, helps clubs at every level make better decisions and win more often. We're a trusted partner to clubs across every top European division. We're now taking our tracking data work to the next step and we're looking for a Junior Data Scientist to help us do that.
Role purpose
You'll join our Data Science team, working on the integration of tracking data into our platform, on club-specific projects, and on new features in Earpiece itself. This is a role that will grow with you: you'll have the opportunity to experience all the different aspects of building football analytics software, and to work with clubs in a variety of ways.
This role suits someone who's energised by that kind of variety, and who wants hands-on experience with football clubs early in their career.
What you'll deliver
- Bring our tracking data models into Earpiece — help with the advancement of our tracking data models and move them into Earpiece, expanding what the platform can tell clubs about the game.
- Work directly with clubs — be the day-to-day point of contact for some of our clients, running calls yourself and building customised solutions together with them, with a senior colleague backing you up.
- Help shape our product — be part of the development and growth of our platform.
What we're looking for
Required
- Strong experience in Python
- A solid grounding in football analytics, including experience with both event and tracking data
- Strong communication skills — you'll be talking directly with football clubs
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Experience working with version control
- Experience working with SQL
- Familiarity with software engineering principles
- Swedish or other languages
- Having completed one of Twelve's courses is a particularly helpful signal, and most of our recent technical hires have come through that pathway
What we are offering
You'll be part of a small but very technically competent team, turning raw data into products that make a real difference to our customers and to the success of the clubs we work with.
A separate data engineering team is responsible for making sure the data is available, accessible, and clean, so you can focus on the modelling and the club work.
You'll be supported every step of the way by the skills and expertise of our leadership team, who are dedicated to changing how football data is consumed and used in clubs.
Practical
- Location: our office is in Stockholm, but remote work is possible anywhere in Europe
- Hours: flexible, around 2–3 days per week, with room to grow into more
- Closing date: 25th of September; we will start going through applications as they come in
